Launching on Halloween.

It's needless to say that I’ve been working non-stop to get things ready for the Halloween Launch of the freeplay arcade hours. I had to go back and forth to Madera (2 hours away) to pickup machines that I just had to have. The Capcom big blue is absolute a must have and this one is perfect for me cause I can fix the minor issues and it was missing the SSF2Turbo board. I have the japanese GMX board for this, so it’s perfect.

Too many machines and too little space. I’m also wrapping up projects to move them aside for the arcade to open for there days a week. Here’s the typical example of what I do.

I had found an Ms Pac in a warehouse dead about 5 months ago. It was $200 and I stuck about $150 in parts into it which I mostly had other than the Control Panel overlay. I was able to get it pretty nice looking. I sold it for $1300 and almost the same day found a Capcom Big Blue 2 hours away. I spend most of that securing the big blue. But this guy had a ton of stuff. One of which was a 20th Namco Reunion he was fixing up for his wife. The monitor had issues and heavy burn. I had agreed to trade the work on the monitor for the repro wood body of a Dynamo HS1. I then returned two days later with the Monitor chassis fixed, capped and tuned with a replacement tube (which he gave me) I ended up trading a rebuilt Reunion control panel for a Dynamo HS9 and other parts and 4 TVs. From the original Ms Pac, I traded parts and labor into about $4000 worth of machines and parts. Of course I had to sink in countless hours and random parts. It also didn’t count the gas money.
